Standing with Ukraine

Like others across publishing, we are shocked at Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and saddened by the horrific crisis that is developing. We share our sympathies and solidarity with members’ friends and counterparts in publishing, bookselling and other industries in Ukraine.

We welcome contact if you can think of anything practical that we might do on behalf of independent publishers, within either the industry or government. If you have any fundraising or other initiatives that you would like us to publicise, please get in touch.

Support for libraries in Ukraine

The Stationers’ Company is encouraging donations to an initiative to supply print and library-related materials to libraries in Ukraine. It is working with the Aliph Foundation, which supports cultural heritage in areas of conflict. Suggested donations include various papers, boxes, folders and packing filler. If you think you might be able to help, or would like a full list of requirements, please email the Bodleian Library, which is also working to help Aliph, for the attention of Christopher Fletcher, Keeper of Special Collections and a Liveryman of the Stationers’ Company.
