Publisher rates
Band A: turnover up to £100,000 is £325 + £65 VAT = £390*
Band B: turnover £100,000 to £500,000 is £368 + £73.60 VAT = £441.60*
Band C: turnover £500,000 to £1,000,000 is £488 + £97.60 VAT = £585.60*
Band D: turnover £1,000,000 to £3,000,000 is £625 + £125 VAT = £750*
Band E: turnover £3,000,000 to £5,000,000 is £920 + £184 VAT = £1,104*
Band F: turnover £5,000,000 to £10,000,000 is £1,600 + £320 VAT = £1,920*
Band G: turnover £10,000,000 to £50,000,000 is £2,180 + £436 VAT = £2,616*
Band H: turnover over £50,000,000 is £2,990 + £598 VAT = £3,588*
*There is also a £50 one off joining fee.

Membership subscription payment refund policy
If your application to join the Independent Publishers Guild (IPG) is rejected by the IPG board, your subscription payment, together with your joining fee, will be reimbursed to you in full, within 7 working days of the board decision.

Board meetings are held quarterly. New members are granted provisional membership to the IPG until applications can be assessed by the board.

Guide to IPG membership types

• Full Member: publishers who have published three or more publications.
• Non-Voting Member: publishers who have published fewer than three publications.
• Associate Member: self-publishers who operate as a business. This is a non-voting membership category.
• Supplier member: This category is for non-publishers whose businesses are closely associated with publishing. This category is also for publishers who charge authors (paid-for/hybrid/contract publishers) as this constitutes providing a service.
