Faber Members Manager (Maternity cover)
Faber is a leading independent literary publisher. We publish a diverse range of high-profile authors such as Kazuo Ishiguro, Anna Burns, Sally Rooney, Leïla Slimani, Tsitsi Dangarembga, Orhan Pamuk, Sebastian Barry, Laura Lippman, Lenny Henry, Luke Harding, Melissa Harrison and Amelia Gentleman, and we have a backlist containing the works of T. S. Eliot, Seamus Heaney, Sylvia Plath and William Golding, among many others.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and creative Manager of Faber Members to head up our offering for our fast-growing community of readers. Working to budget, the candidate appointed will be responsible for curating the Faber Members programme, including: creating events both on and offline and special promotions and partnerships; overseeing and putting together all communication (newsletters, web content, writing and creating special content) and mailings; forecasting and budgeting annual spend; and overseeing all aspects of front of house and customer service. The successful candidate will be a key member of our direct to consumer team, working alongside our Product Editor in inputting ideas for special editions and our Head of E-Commerce on recruitment strategy and ECRM.
Excellent communication, copy-writing, digital marketing (including email marketing (e.g. Dotdigital), segmentation and data analysis), website, design-briefing and CRM skills are essential. Experience of running a Membership scheme would be desirable.
This is a maternity cover role (full time) to start at the beginning of December for the period of one year, reporting to the Communications Director. The job will be based in our London office.
