Journals Production Editor
(2 days per week, 6-month contract)

Edinburgh University Press is a thriving academic publisher, producing over 250 new books and 50 journals each year with an emphasis on the Humanities and Social Sciences.

We are looking for a part-time Journals Production Editor to manage the production of six of our journals. The successful candidate will be required to work independently on the production of these journals from receipt of article typescripts - through copy editing, typesetting and print ordering stages – to despatch of printed copies from the printer. Demonstrable editorial experience is essential, print production experience desirable. The candidate should have a proactive and collaborative approach. They should be able to display meticulous attention to detail, effective communication and project management skills and be able to competently manage a busy workload.
