Job description

Search Press, winner of Independent Specialist Publisher of the Year 2026, is seeking an International Rights Manager to drive income from co-edition and subsidiary rights sales across print, digital and other formats.

The successful candidate will develop and manage international territories, build strong customer and agent relationships, negotiate licensing and co-edition deals, and maximise revenue opportunities across global markets.

The role also involves managing Search Press’s presence at major international book fairs and working closely with editorial, production, accounts, and sales and marketing teams to ensure the smooth processing of rights deals.

Applicants should ideally have previous experience in rights sales and licensing, strong negotiation and commercial skills, and the ability to manage varied workloads effectively.

A willingness to travel internationally for book fairs and customer meetings is essential.

The role will report into the Sales and Marketing Director and will involve working closely with our Editorial, Production and Sales and Marketing teams.

The role could be hybrid or in house and part-time will be considered for the right candidate.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including company pension scheme and annual bonus based on company performance
