Job description

Bradt Guides (one of the world’s leading independent travel publishers, based in Buckinghamshire) is seeking a Finance Manager. We anticipate the role will require the equivalent of around three days per week, spread across the month.

Applicants should preferably have an ACA/ACCA Qualification or equivalent, including experience at that level. Familiarity with modular databased accounting systems, together with good Excel and analysis skills, is necessary (although training will be available). The role will involve managing the finance department, providing support and advice for day-to-day transaction postings, managing cashflow, preparing monthly accounts, annual budget, analysis of financial data and presenting a brief financial report to the board each month. Experience with royalties is an advantage.

This is a terrific opportunity to join a friendly, independent publisher. Previous publishing experience is an advantage, but training and mentoring will be provided. There is the opportunity for home working if desired, although attendance at Bradt’s office in Chesham will be necessary on occasion.
