Job description

Working closely with the Marketing & PR teams both internal and external, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the department in multiple key areas.

Reporting jointly to the Marketing and PR Directors, the role will focus on administrative duties, social media management, departmental organisation and external and internal Comms, with scope for Marketing & PR campaign work in the future.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the continued growth and efficacy of the Marketing & PR teams
  • General admin support including ordering books, organising couriers, booking travel and accommodation, scheduling meetings and all other tasks as required
  • Working closely with the Senior Comms Executive, you will be proactive in a number of key activities across all imprints including:
    • organising Awards and all Bookseller submissions
    • managing and creating content for our social media accounts and e-newsletters
    • planning and executing mailouts
    • communicating with internal and external stakeholders
    • building contacts lists and newsletter subscribers
    • sourcing and ordering promotional items, prizes, props where required
    • process invoices and liaise with the Finance department
  • Working with our external website management agency to keep the website regularly updated
  • Assembling post-campaign reports for stakeholders including newspaper clippings, URLs, photos of activity etc.
  • Briefing designers on select PR & Marketing materials
  • Drafting and updating press releases
  • Managing invoice payments for freelancers and suppliers

Key Skills & Experience

  • Some experience in an administrative or support role welcomed but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Slides and Documents and equivalent Mac/Windows programmes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Flexible approach to work with ability to attend evening and weekend events where necessary
