Job Description:
Reporting to the Head of Children’s Marketing & PR, the successful candidate will be responsible for Marketing Campaigns across all relevant Children’s titles as well as supporting the Head of Department in a number of key areas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and managing exciting, inventive and focused Marketing campaigns for a variety of Children’s titles including picture books, illustrated non-fiction, middle-grade fiction and licensed products
  • Planning and executing long-term strategies around promotion and growth of titles and authors
  • Briefing and managing the creation of all required trade and consumer Marketing materials including social assets, brochures, presenters, proofs, samplers etc.
  • Creating and publishing content for the Children’s social media channels and newsletter and providing effective feedback on analytics of growth etc
  • Scheduling AMS and creating and building Amazon A+ and Amazon Stores
  • Get involved with strategic direction of department, advise and streamline processes, departments systems and procedures
  • Building the newsletter subscriber list and planning and scheduling effective email marketing campaigns
  • Advising on brand-building and audience growth and actively seeking new marketing opportunities, and new ways of reaching readers
  • Managing title budgets and allocating as required
  • Deputise for Head of Department during absences
  • Creating support materials for and maintaining an active presence at trade shows as required
  • Effective management of and communication with freelancers and external contractors

Required:
At least 3 years experience as a Marketing Executive or Senior Marketing Executive (specific Children’s book experience desired but not mandatory)
