Job description

A fantastic opportunity for a proactive, capable and numerical applicant to join a team of analytical account managers providing day-to-day support for clients in the publishing industry.

Nielsen Book provides an unparalleled view of the Book market, looking at print book trends, changes in the digital landscape and in purchaser influences through continuous panel measurement and consumer trends data.

The role sits within the commercial team reporting to the Research director and requires you to manage a portfolio of clients to ensure they derive the maximum value and understanding from Nielsen Book Research data, products and services.

You will be responsible for client development and revenue delivery and understanding and interpreting customer requirements is essential to the role. Project and consultation work for clients and the industry requires a strong grasp of data analysis and interpretation and while much training will be given, applicants are required to know their way around a spreadsheet.

Day to day you will respond to client data and commercial queries, provide training on the analytic tools and data outcomes, prepare presentations for clients and industry and work with the team to contribute to the insights we bring to the book trade. You will also manage the commercial relationships and contractual negotiations with your clients, all with the support of the team and the research director.

This role would be perfect for someone with great communication and analysis skills who is interested in and enthusiastic about the publishing and/or market research industries.
