The IPG is a not-for-profit company, and invests surplus funds in future activities. It is governed by a board of directors and Memorandum and Articles of Association.
THE IPG BOARD
The IPG has a non-executive Board of Directors, who assist the IPG with strategic advice and practical support. Board members meet six times a year, and receive no payment for the work they do on behalf of the IPG. Members serve a maximum of nine years, excluding any time served as Chair.

Martin Casimir, IPG Chair
Martin is managing director of Maths – No Problem!, an educational publisher supplying Maths books, online services and training for primary school teachers.
Caroline de la Bedoyere
Caroline is the sales and marketing director at Search Press, a leading specialist in arts and crafts books.
Terry Fisher, Finance Director
Terry is the IPG's finance director, and has responsibility for our accounts.
Oliver Gadsby is chief executive of Rowman & Littlefield International, an academic publisher based in London. He is a previous Chair of the IPG.
David Graham is managing director of Pavilion Books, an independent publisher with content across many areas of non-fiction.
Jonathan Harris, IPG President
Jonathan is the IPG's President. He is the founder of Learning Matters, a leading publisher of teacher training and social work content that was sold to SAGE in 2011.
John is the head of Historic England Publishing, a specialist in architectural history and archaeology.
Alison is the founder of Practical Inspiration Publishing and provides executive coaching, consultancy and training services to publishers. She has written and edited several books and is the host of the Extraordinary Business Book Club podcast.
Lynette is a consultant in copyright, licensing and contractual training and practice, including to the IPG. She is the author of Selling Rights, now in its eighth edition, and editor of Clark’s Publishing Agreements, now in its tenth edition.
Amanda Ridout, IPG Vice Chair
Amanda is the founder of Boldwood Books, a new independent fiction publisher. She was formerly CEO of Head of Zeus.
Bridget is the chief executive of the IPG and leads its resources, events, services and strategic development.
Phil is founder and co-owner of Meze Publishing, a specialist in cookbooks including regional collections. He also Blind Mice Media, which specialises in the free magazine market.
James is managing director of David & Charles, a non-fiction publisher that has been active since 1960 but that was the subject of a management buyout from F+W Media in 2019. He is a previous Chair of the IPG.
